How Our Film Days Work

The delegates are split into teams of 10 and given just 3 hours to write, produce, direct and star in their own movies.

Each Team Will Be Given:

  • A different location around the venue
  • A comical scenario (these can be tailored to the company & theme of the conference)
  • Camera & clapperboard
  • A box of props and costumes

The As You Like It film assistants, best boys and key grips will circulate offering technical and creative assistance. Editing of the movies will take place on site in the break and extracts will be played after dinner at your very own glitzy and glamorous Oscar ceremony. Our comedy host and his beautiful hostess will present this spoof Oscar ceremony. At the screening Oscars will be presented for: MOST PROMISING ACTOR & ACTRESS, FUNNIEST COMEDY, MOST INSPIRED DIRECTION, & BEST FILM etc.

How The Event Works:

Delegates will be split into teams and given a different 5-10 minute scene from a famous musical or play to rehearse and perform within an allotted time. Each team will be led by one of our professional and highly skilled director's and given a rehearsal studio to work in.

Each session will include script reading, casting of each role, rehearsal of the text, learning the musical numbers, choreography of any dance routines, final run through in costume, note session with your director and the musical director finishing with The Gala Performance!

After the show each Director will give an analysis of their team's progress throughout the session as well as their standard of performance, which will culminate in awards for Greatest Teamwork, Best Performance, Funniest Comedy Performance etc.

If you are having a gala dinner The Tony Awards could take place afterwards. As part of the whole experience we could organise a trip for your team to see a West End show.

Art Challenge
The Art Challenge is about creating art on a massive scale! Most people appreciate art in some form or other, and many companies nowadays have works of art hanging on their office walls. Using paintings or images by well-known artists - the challenge for the day is for teams to work together to produce a giant, replica masterpiece of their own.

Beer Challenge
The Beer Challenge is a team-building event designed to get teams focusing on real business issues, whilst at the same time having maximum fun. Teams are first introduced to the vagaries of beer tasting and the world of different beers. Having had a chance to sample a variety of different beers, teams are then briefed that they represent a small and failing brewery that needs their help. Working as a team and using the resources available to them, the task is to develop a new beer that will re-establish their fortunes and bring them back to profit.

Circus Challenge
The Circus Challenge is about bringing people together to experience all the fun and thrills of the Big Top. This Challenge is extremely effective for developing communication and interaction between colleagues - everyone is involved in learning a variety of highly unusual activities that many will never get the opportunity to try again. Teams will take part in a series of circus workshops where they are taught: Juggling, Unicycling, Stilt walking, Plate pinning, Diabolo, Clowning, Mime and Low Wire

Ice-cream Challenge
Begins with an introduction by a celebrity guest chef/home economist who takes delegates through an - 'all you ever wanted to know about ice-cream' session in no more than 15 minutes. During this time delegates will get to taste a number of ice-creams. Each team's task is to create a brand new ice-cream by using the resources available to them. Their objective is to create a new product that will earn revenue and re-establish their company in the market place

Rhythm Challenge
Imagine how powerful it is when teams of people come together to create one of the liveliest and loudest percussion bands ever seen! The Rhythm Challenge teaches delegates to work together by learning to play percussion instruments in only a couple of hours. Having practiced to perfection, the teams will then come together to perform a thundering and rapturous crescendo as the entire group performs in a pulsating grand finale.
